Seattle Home Maternity Service and Childbirth Center | Community Birth and Family Center

Seattle Home Maternity Service and Childbirth Center is located in Seattle’s Columbia City neighborhood in Southeast Seattle at 3830 South Ferdinand Street. It is easily accessible via Interstate 5, Highway 90 or Rainier Avenue South. The Childbirth Center has one birthing suite located in the lower level of the SHMS clinic. Designed like a mother-in-law apartment, it has a cozy, informal look. It is equipped with a kitchenette, birthing room, deep soaker tub and shower, private toilet, rocking chair, a remote controlled CD/Cassette player and a “living room” area.

Community Birth and Family Center is located in Montlake just south of the University District and the Montlake Bridge at 2200 24th Avenue East. It is easily accessible from Interstate 5 and Highway 520. It has two birthing suites each equipped with a comfortable queen-size bed, large soaking tub, hanging sling, and rocking chair.
